I can't Tell if Sharkbait is dead or molting

Post by kadynadair16 » Thu Feb 12, 2015 5:37 pm

I just got back home from school and sharkbait was out of his shell. I set him in the food dish last night and went to bed. He was fine this morning. But when I checked he was like this: Image
I picked him up and there was no movement. I can't tell if it is Exo or not. Please help me!

What color was he to start with? That color looks like a freshly (within 2 or 3 days) molted crab.

ITS HIS EXO! I can see the break in it. What do I do? He must have shed it over night because it was nothing like this before I went to bed

Just cover him up and leave him alone. As long as nobody comes by and eats him he will be ok.
When you get back we should double check your conditions to see why he is surface molting.

What is your temp/humidity? You got a new gauge, right? What kind did you get, again? Have you calibrated it?
Where is your UTH located?
Is your sub sandcastle consistency?
