Crabitat remodel

Post by joewest18 » Sun Mar 01, 2015 9:29 pm

Well a few weeks back I found a Roach in the cage and it had been a while since i had done a total substrate clean and i knew all of my crabs were up from molting. So I built a false bottom and changed some things around and this is what i ended up with.

Looks nice. I like your shell shop, I'm trying to find some organizers to do it :)

When my son was an infant, he woke up one morning with a 2 inch long line of red dots that looked like burns across the back of his calf.

They looked like this: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: and was red and swollen with darker red dots

He never cried or anything, and the next day we saw the centipede in his bedroom floor. It was about 5 inches long and dark reddish brown.

Ewww centipedes are super icky and ouch!! Same with wood lice BUT ... I love millipedes and Rollie Pollies, the big round black ones. Idk what it is about the flat ones but I don't like them :/ My grandma had a pet millipede named Milly she was so cute and I always played with bugs on my grandparents acres in the country. I've grown a healthy fear of spiders, earwigs, centipedes etc. over the years. And an unhealthy fear of worms, the scariest bug out there in my opinion. I went outside in the rain once and saw a huge worm coming towards me and I freaked, ran inside, slammed the door, cried and screamed and was hopping and pointing begging my mom to go move it agh!!!

I HATE grasshoppers and crickets. A year ago, I used to love them! So I caught a whole overload of them in a plastic bottle with holes and brought them home. I put some that thought was alive in a kritter keeper kind of thing with a whole bunch of leaves. The rest (that I thought were dead) went into my trash can in my room. BAD IDEA. at night time when I was about to sleep, I saw things jumping around my room!! I thought I was seeing things so I went ahead and slept. The grasshoppers and crickets were crawling into my nose, ears, eeew.. I guess I left the lid open? :/ the next morning I opened my eyes and...eye to eye with the biggest grasshopper i caught!! I stood up, screamed and ran into the bathroom all bouncy so the grasshopper gets off.

So yeah.. I hate them. :/

My cats always kill the centipedes in my house, and then
they play with the dead body, they do the same with mice.
