The free kind Just go outside and find some. If they are not native to your area, and you MUST order them, that's another story. And I have no comment I think they're all good.

I don't know if these guys are what I used to see at my parents house or not. I don't think I'd trust them from the city. Anyone know the best place to order that ships in Canada? All the links I've seen are USA based and I don't think they'll cross the border.

If you can't find a seller you can catch a bunch of them and keep them until they breed, and just use the babies in your tat. You can wait until the 2nd generation to be extra sure.

Keep us updated on your progress, if possible! A lot of people are interested in pillbugs and adding them to their tats, but not sure hpw to go about it. More experience we can share means more people can try! I will definitely be doing this myself

I just grabbed about 25 from the front yard today and popped them in the tank. From what I read if you want to have them breed it doesn't take very long to get a whole bunch.

May have a seller, but wondering; do you mean the city ones would be fine if I let them breed a couple generations? I'm just afraid of pesticides and "city air" pollution.

Yea, 2 generations will get rid of all that. 1 would, but they might be from already pregnant isopods, so 2 just in case. Throw out any that look weird, like blue colored. Make sure you raise them nice and kind, and give them the same stuff you give your crabs.
