She's about the same, eye too. Only a few more doses of antibiotic left and we're to call the vet again. I'll update with what he has to say.

Update on Cheeseburger:

I've talked to the vet every few days over the course of antibiotics and just got off the phone with him now that we're finished the meds. He feels the eye bulge combined with her other symptoms points towards a tumor. But at this point since she's doing so well we're going to watch and wait to see how she does now that the meds are finished. If she gets worse, he'll consider another round. At this point she is compensating for her condition very well (head's still tilted, eye about the same). Every day that's gone by she gets better and better at getting around and climbing. She eats, drinks, eliminates, plays, runs on the flying saucer, cleans herself, and is generally busy with something. I've even seen her spark some!

Now obviously this isn't a complete recovery. Things could take a turn for the worse at any time. I'm really staying focused on her quality of life and the "what if" of that has been discussed with the vet too. I'm to keep in touch with him at least once a week on her condition. I'll try to keep you guys updated with any changes. Thank you again for all the advice and well wishes.

It's good to hear she's stable. :) I'm so sorry you're faced with this. Waiting for the inevitable is the hardest part.

Thank you, Wode. Their lives are such short little bursts of light. I'm just happy to try to make it as good as I can for however long. We're two months away from a year together and hopefully we'll blow right past that with way more happy, healthy times.

It's amazing how they learn to compensate for physical setbacks. We're all pulling for Cheeseburger and my meecer girls are sending lots of mousie nibble-kisses her way.

She's still the same, no better but no worse. Thank you for asking.

I hope so! I really don't think anyone would even know something was wrong with her now if it weren't for the head tilt and slightly bulging eye.

How's she doing? Any other words from the vet?

Still doing very well but the same. No change for the better or worse. I've reached the point where I'm not bugging the vet every week. I just keep a close eye on her for any change and if needed I will call or take her in again.

She's still not very trusting of me. Used to very willingly hop into my hand but since the meds I just get sniffed and maybe a paw or two. I'll try to grab a few pics to share. Thank you for asking! :D

You have no idea how relieved I am that it's good news. Every time I see a response to this topic I get worried!
