hamster breeding

Post by Dom :) » Wed Apr 15, 2015 6:59 am

well I'm on the school bus and I'm really bored so ill just share this :) sorry for the bad grammar.
okay so I've bred three hamsters (well 6 counting there mates) and that's all I am until I have enough spare time. I don't do it for money because I give them all away for free. I Boris and Amylase a year and a half ago. (Boris was 1 and Amy 6 months RIP) and they delivered ten beautiful pups. (All the hamsters I bred were Russian) Then Boris and Faith who had 6, and then an accidental litter when the petstore told me they were male, so yeah. we pulled into school so I need to end bye!
Just the basic 10 gallon set up with 2 crabs, plus a 55 gallon at my dad's.

That's a lot of hamsters haha! I let my friend watch my Syrian hamsters back when I had them a year ago, and she thought they were "playing"....then BABY HAMSTERS! They're so cute and fuzzy! My two had nine pups, only one didn't end up making it. The rest all went to happy homes too! I wish I could get hamsters again.

You should post some pictures! I'd love to see the cute furry babies!!!
4 Purple Pinchers (Hodor, Spree, Rosie, Leonardo, and Lucy), 1 Strawberry (Denver), 4 Ecuadorians (Dexter, Leeloo, Ghost, and Dr. Zoidberg)
1 Pembroke Welsh Corgi (Thorin)

I only have good pics of pinkies... the fuzzys are to playful for pics. I still have 4 of the babies I kept for myself. Do I need to post to social medi first though to post pics?

So far we've been very lucky and none of our hamsters or mice have ever come home pregnant! :::knocks on wood::: I imagine it's quite a lot of work and hard to find good homes for them all. But the plan, for me, is never to find out!

Do you watch ErinsAnimals AKA ErinsHamsters on YouTube? She has a hamster named Amylase too. I never heard the name before. I love her videos!
