I made a huge mistake early on with Stan without thinking - I let him roam around the room, and I didn't cover over Ine's (the grey frog) tank first. She saw him on the floor and almost killed herself trying to break out of her tank to get away from him. She ended up with a injured hand that bothered her for about a week.

I have to cover her tank with a sheet now when he's out and I have her tank facing the wall all the time so she can't spot him, and I'm going to bring her downstairs to the bedroom later this summer so no accidents happen again. He's never noticed her though, not once. I did have a rescued toad in the room for a few day last month, and for whatever reason the toad didn't notice him, but oooh Stan certainly noticed the toad! He paced his tank the entire time trying to figure out how to go eat the toad. I think he was also trying to figure out how to get through the glass to eat Peach last week when they saw each other for the first time.

Peach was extremely curious, but not exactly scared - she ate right after he was put away, so I'm not too worried leaving them in the same room, though I double check the locks every day just for peace of mind since I know he would eat her if he could get to her. Mixing predators & prey is an interesting experience. You never can quite guess how they'll respond.
Peach is only 324 grams, by the way. 600 for a big adult female I think is supposed to be good. If you have any worries about her weight, post photos over at Reptile Forum UK (RFUK). They'll let you know in no uncertain terms if your snake is a fatty.

I personally was glad for the wake up call - I didn't realize how chubby Stan had got, and extra weight isn't good for a snake. I go by a modified Munson feeding plan now for Peach, and adjusted what Stan is getting so they get fed at the same time (since Peach will now only eat chick scented mice....) :
http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/top ... C_ID=27833 Stan gets too aggressive anyway if I wait 10 days between meals and he will only eat chicks which means a normal meal would be two at once, and Peach does so much better with tinier meals, so I split the difference and they get half-sized meals every 5 days. (A weaned mouse is 13 grams and Peach should be getting 25 grams every 10 days. A chick is around 26 grams and Stan should be getting around 50 grams every 10 days.)
