Got them to eat some food. I just checked both of them for gender. Turns out both are girls. I messed up when I was figuring out mr. Fredricksons. They seem to really like the food.

Ariel changed shells this morning! I couldn't get a video because it was dark but i got pics!! I don't know if she changed again because I had to leave for school. So we will see if she is still in it when I get home.

She switch back into the old one and dug down. Dory is still buried in the moss pit. She could possibly be comin up at night thought.

Kadyn, Your new hermit crabs have beautiful shells. All are beautiful hermit crabs. Happy Birthday! I forgot that your birthday is the same as my older daughter's.
6 fish, 1 Dwarf African frog, 1 fancy mouse, 1 outdoor cat, 1 land snails, and 2 wonderful daughters.

They are great! Love their shells.
Mum to 2 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rats and 6 hermies in our CrabiFrat (a fraternity of little greek crabs wearing togas).

If the crabs in the group of pictures in the dark have claws in each other's shells and all over and face to face worries me. None of my crabs do that and I've never had any wars, shell fights or cannibalism. I see that as aggressive behavior. Newbies don't always fight but when they don't get along keeping them together won't be good for either of them... Keep an eye on those two.


Mommy of 12 PP babies - Toby, Sid, Baby, Matty, Junior, Kaylee, Aries, Adrian, Turbo, Flower, Boo and Freckles.

Forget that!! I just realized they were changing into an empty shell. Claw shell grabbing may be scary if the other shell isn't empty though. Sorry about that!
