Great to hear you have a larger sw pool. I don't know if your aware (I didn't until I went through a couple of filters myself) but you can only use a marine type filter in a saltwater pool (can't have any metal parts including the pump) otherwise it will fail. (Can fail from a few days to months once in use, but it will fail and cause metal contaminants to enter your pool water)
Don't trust Pet shop staff check box & information sheet before you buy. Box should state suitable for marine use. Not tropical or fresh water (Save yourself the heartache)
I have airstones in both pools . I only heat my sw pool. It's normal for your sw to evaporate quicker than fw pools with or without airstones.
A lot of crabs love to swim late at night after feeding. I normally have either poo or wet marks on their foam sundeck each morning.
Would love to see photos of your sw pool

Nothing fancy. I plan to do more but for the time being this is what they have.
Eta: will this work?

Since these pics I made the ramps steeper to allow for more room at the bottom for them. I also sunk them I'm a little more. They look so much nicer now.

Ooooohhhh that looks lovely!!!
I'm so jealous... my crabitat isn't big enough for that... at least not this first version I'm working on.
There are different types of air stone... is there one type that is better for saltwater?
I use the water from my turtle tank, and mix some of that with Sera Marine salt. Then I store the extra saltwater (I make a litre at the time for easy measurements) in a bottle in the fridge. I let it ghet back to room temp before changing the water of course.
The Sera Marine salt didn't come with a mixing table... so I mixed 32 grams of salt with 1 litre water. Every description says follow the lable... well... I did my best, finding out the salinity of water and go with that instead.
BTW... do different hermies need different salinities or is it OK to just let them mix their own?

For me, an airstone is a an air stone. I would just go for one that's in your price range. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Oh, depending on the way you collect the water from your turtle tank; it's something that I would watch out for. Not to mention, they can be dirty animals so make sure that ammonia, nitrates and nitrites are in their acceptable ranges.
Hermit crab "mix and match" their own water until they feel comfortable with their accepted range. Just offer the water, they know what to do.
