avi temp heat panel
I was given an avitemp heat panel that is typically used to heat bird cages, and I was thinking about attaching it to the lid of my tank that Is metal mesh, since the heater usually I'd attached to metal bird cage bars. Its an infrared heater, I'm guessing similar to a ceramic heat emitteri just am not having the best luck with uth s (considering my gravitational is in my bebdroom and I can't sleep with temps above 65). I've even slept in other rooms so I could hear my bedroom for them because there is no other area to put their tank haha. Has anyone used a similar heat panel or have thoughts?

it runs 75 for a bird cage but those are much more open. I need to test it on the tank on a day i can check up on it constantly.wodesorel wrote:Do you know how hot it runs?

I also thought that the heat panels are meant to wall mounted and aim into the cage. I'm sure there are different styles out there.

I would think it poses a fire hazard? If mounted to a cage? If you put it close enough to a crab tank would it cause the glass to crack?
