I had a similar situation but didn't catch him until his little bottom had dried up with eco earth stuck to him. He had drug himself to the front of the tank (I believe to be seen by me better because he knew he needed help which makes me cry just thinking about) I did all the step you did. Though he wasn't able to walk and too sick to eat. I hand fed him for a month. Today he is as spunky as ever. I love that crab.
Sounds like you did great. Good job. He may not have made it had you not found him.

Crabbing for 2 years-still obsessed! 6 total crustacean kids. Gave up trying to tell them apart but I love them all.
My clan consists of-4 PP's: Paul, Juan, Salt & Pepper. 3 E's: Harry Houdini, Sarge and RIP Gary-lost during a molt. A Yorkie-Joey, Orange Tabby-Milo
2 teenage daughters and a husband.

Thanks and I'm glad you were able to help yours to, my crab is still doing good, eating and active so I believe he will be just fine. I put worm castings in the tank two days ago and he camped all night picking at it.
