I want to Rescue HC

Post by kadynadair16 » Tue Jul 14, 2015 10:18 am

I babysit for a lady who has a hermit crab. Horrible conditions. I have suggested this website to her a few times but she's never looked at it. I just want to get the poor crab of of there. And I don't think they are too attached to it. Should I ask if I can have it?? I don't want to sound rude so should I make it kind of a joke?? Idk I guess Im just looking for advice on how to go about this.

You might just mention how much you've learned about them, how cool you think they are and how much you'd love to have one and see what kind of reaction you get. That may help tell you if she'd be receptive to you asking to take it.

Just let her know you take in LHC and if she ever decides not to keep it to please let you know.

Hi!
I am dealing with a situation exactly like this.
Maybe if you very gently a little about your crabs, or offer for them to come to your house for a little meet and greet, she could get a feel for proper hermit crab care. You could mention that you take in LHC, like dinky said, and just have a light conversation about hermit crab care. Hope this helps. :D
