You keep an Excel sheet with an inventory of crabs in each of your crabitats with notes for the last time you saw each crab and what shell they were wearing. When the Home Depot installer for your new blinds comments, "Boy, your kids sure do love hermit crabs, eh?" after noticing all the tanks in your house.

When you ask the lady at the Seafood Section in Giant Eagle for tiny little scraps of fish because you have hermit crabs, and the people next to you buying their dinner stare at you!!!
They all change shells so fast and look the same that I don't even know who's who anymore...

Ok, I thought some up ^_^ ~ You go and buy the family soda so you can have the bottles for and emergency topside molts~ You name crabs after people you know, depending on their personalities (Oh this one is nice, just like Mary from work!! )~ You find yourself doodling hermit crabs on your papers at school~ Instead of "What would Jesus do?" you think "What would a hermit crab do?"~ You start using the same thought processe as hermit crabs "Why go around when you could go OVER??"~ When people ask what pets you have, you go off on a rant about your hermit crabs, while the person you're talking to is just sitting there looking at you like your crazy~ You dream of kicking your brother/sister out of their bedrooms so you can give it to the crabs~ Your children get mad becuase you make them watch the crabs instead of the T.V. These were the best I could come up with!

You ask the store clerk for the smallest crab they have because you have all sorts of shells that are not being used.Oh - and you transport them home in a heated car cooler that plugs in and keeps them nice and warm.

When you've been to the same pet store ten years in a row every other Sat waiting for a new shipment of crabs to come in just to see what they are getting in.When the pet store owner and employees know you as the crab man and not by your real name.lolWhen you are the only customer allowed to freely handle the crabs without an employ standing guard.lol

You walk in and the let store lady rolls her eyes and groans at the sight of you, because you've gotten in so many fueds about products before. Your parents get mad because you waste lots of money on products that look like a good idea, then are bad and useless. Frostfire gave me this idea: Your tank takes up the majority of space in your shoebox-sized room and the only other thing you can fit in there is a bed and dresser, lol!

Cool I have had so much fun with my new e's because their molts take way less time than the pp's and as a result they are almost always out and about making the enclosure seem more active during this time of the year.

If you sneak some of the castoffs and one whole peel n' eat shirmp from a social gathering to bring home to the tankIf you've ever left a restaurant with lobster exoIf you now buy seaweed for yourself. Trader Joe's Roasted Seaweed Snack is awesome! It's roasted with a touch of sesame oil and sea salt. Crabbies get some of that, too.

Ohhh! Fun.You might be an addict when you buy 87 crabs and once and mourn the loss of the two that didn't make it.You might be an addict if you then commence to spending over $1000.00 in less than 2 months on said crabs...
