Computer not wanting to boot up in normal mode.

Post by Crabber85 » Mon Dec 02, 2013 12:18 pm

I've scanned the computer while in safe mode with three different anti-virus programs all came back clean, I have re-paired the registry, cleaned up the start menu and even de-fragmented the hard drive in an effort to get the computer to boot up in normal mode but it will only do so one time out of five tries.I've also checked and repaired the active partitions on the hard drive and checked the drive for errors which resulted in one successful boot up in normal mode then when the computer restarted it failed to boot back up so I had to put it back into safe mode with networking enabled to be able to do anything.I've got a feeling like the computer is about die on us, its a Toshiba lap top from 2009 and has had its fair share of issues up to this point and I've been able to fix most of them on my own but this time I'm stumped.I'm thinking that either our processor is about to go out or we have a bad stick of ram which could be the result of many things. We don't have the money to go get this computer fixed and we certainly don't have the money to purchase a new computer so if I'm not on for a while its because the computer has died.

@Jenok, it took me a few hours but I was finally able to get the issue fixed, it was a program that was incompatible with our operating system that was preventing a proper boot up in normal mode.
