I actually live near ThatPetPlace/ThatFishPlace. It's a really cool place, so if you ever DO get a chance to road trip there, I recommend it. I wouldn't call them experts on hermies by any stretch but compared to the large chains (PetSmart, etc.) their hermies are in a much better environment. They need to be in a deeper substrate in my opinion, because if any of them needs to molt, then there really isn't a good place to burrow to do it. Other than that, the store is pretty darn fantastic and it's well worth the road trip to see it. It's not your average pet store.If anyone ever wants anything nonbreakable/nonperishable priced or purchased and shipped to you from That Pet Place, let me know. I literally live 20 minutes from it. We LOVE That Pet Place in our house. We live about 2 and quarter hours away, but take roadtrips when we need to stock up. And with birds, snakes, dogs, cat, and Lots of Fish before and now our Hermit Crabs, we need to stock up often. They have a huge store, it could probably fit a whole PetSmart or Petco just in their fish section. They also have fish and herps that you would have trouble finding elsewhere unless you internet order. I haven't been up there for Land Hermit Crab stuff, but I have bought Lots of Marine Hermit Crabs They actually staff Marine Biologists in their fish department!Carrie
