Rashes? Exo earth? HELP!

EE or Eco-Earth is actually one of the best molting substrates to use for hermitcrabs as it retains moisture well so it holds shape when the crabs are tunneling and carving out molting pockets.Without being able to see a pic or two of what your talking about we really cant help too much with identifying what it is exactly. You could be seeing contact scarring where the crab bumped something or moved too soon while it was still soft or you could have a mold problem which will attach itself to the crab during the molting process. But again without being able to see the crab in question there really is no way to tell what the problem is.
