Very good point Kitty!!!Some people aren't meant to havepets. Some aren't even meant to havekids for that matter. I'm a firm believerin pet ownership being a serious responsibility. Its a shame hermit crabs are still considered"throwaway pets" Thank god for sites like thisand people who care enough to visit them whenthey aquire their 1st hermit crab/crabs.

As for as those 3 crabs go I think they died. Because if you read the ladys reply she said "FYI- we took great care of the 3 hermit crabs we had and contrary to what you believe- Either that or she gave them to another bozo. Notice that her statment sounds very past tense. I dint know what "FYI" meant at first, then I finally realized what it meant. That is so rude!

Abby, I'm sorry you had to get that message. That by far surpasses the rudest answer I've ever gotten from a seller. That woman sounds like she's two cans short. What is up with the "slavery (YES IT STILL EXISTS)" comment? It's completely impertinent. Anyway, if she had 3 hermit crabs and states that the KK is the perfect size for "two crabs", then where did the other crab live? In their bed?Every word I want to say about her would be deleted by the censor.

While suprised by her unwarranted attack I found her reply rather entertaining. Can't snow a snowman as they say.Her research revealed it's possible to keep two crabs comfortably in a KK, that grapewood in a small tank that size provides good exercise (must be to master that horizontal sideways walk that ours never learned; who knew?), that shells hold much more water than we ever thought capable (the small reservoir must be an illusion, I'll have to fill one and put a crab in to see if he likes it) and that I've been wasting my time and money providing and deepcleaning substrate when all I really needed was a cocomat! Well smack my head and call me psycho!!

Why I got a tiny turbo in my living room that I fill up on Saturday nights with hot water and have a dozen or so friends come over for a hot tub party. Sure it looks small on the outside but everyone knows it's what's on the inside that counts!I'm hurt because I emailed her and haven't gotten a psycho response yet. Notice there are no bids. ahahahahaha! haha That's too great. So many people waste money on hotubs andbath tubs, when we can just stick our pillows in a sink for the same thing. WHy didn't I ever think of that?
