introducing myself again

hi, so i introduced myself when i fist joined like a few years ago and alot has changed and stuff basically i felt it warranted a re-intro. i never stopped coming on here to find information because i have not stopped having hermit crabs but ive stopped posting even as some questions started pilling up. Life got very busy and alot of stressful things happened but alot of new good things happened too. also i didnt really know how forums work and i usually dont get on my pc and my tablet was difficult to use for posting on here but now i have a new tablet and mini bluetooth keyboard so im back. Ive already been posting on here alot lately because ive had some very important questions i needed to get going on before i even did this post but better late than never. so here it goeshi, im married with like 5 kitties and 6 hermit crabs now. I have been crabbing since 2011. back then i did not know much about myself or crabs but alot has changed. i found out i am on the autism spectrum and realize hermit crabs are one of my special interests. ive felt very isolated because i dont have many friends irl(in real life) but i have found a very nice autism community online and i hope to become a part o this community too. My hermit crabs have helped me learn so much about myself through learning about them and i love them with all my heart i offten refer to myself as a hermit crab because of so many similarities between us. i wont list them all because this post is already too long. ive lost my first 2 hermit crabs due to inexperience and them already have been mistreated. i got 2 hermit crabs as a engagment gift from a kiosk both in painted shells. i had them for 2 years until they passed away RIP spider-man and lapras. now i have 6 whole new crabs that i have gotten over a couple months span. ivy, harley quinn, vegeta, plankton, reganold aka regi, and two-bane (we had two crabs before two bane and we called them the twins because they had identical shells and did everything together one was bane and one was two-face i could tell them apart because of their personalities two-face was more reserved and bane was outgoing. sadly we lost two-face. for reasons unknown he ditched his shell burried and the substrate collapsed on him. he and spider-man and lapras will live in our hearts forever. after he died bane had finally come up from a molt and was huge. at first however he acted shy and the way two-face acted. but slowly hes getting comfortable again. point is because for a little time there i was slightly unsure it was bane because of his behavior we renamed him two-bane. however, im sure its bane because hes getting less skidish and i keep track of the shells everyone is in and i know the shell that was ditched was two-face's. however, i feel it is nice to have renamed him because it's like we still have both of them especially because since he molted and two-face died bane has been acting less like bane but not completely and more like two-face but not completly so its like they became one. thats the background on two-bane <3 )

She is an autism consultant, but so much more.Also, if you ever get a chance to read anything by Temple Grandin, you might find it good. She is autistic and uses her insight to figure out how various animals think. I have one of her books called "Animals in Translation."

Thank you ^_^ and the first two hermit crabs were named after the characters painted on their shells. Even after they changed into natural shells their kept the names. And the way bane and two-face got their names is we keep little domo figures on the tank to warn us if the cat is near the tank and weigh down the plastic saran wrap For humidity and they both kept climbing to the top and poking at our domo dressed as batman. So we named them after our favorite batman villains. That's why most of the names are batman villains. But vegeta is from dragon Ball z plankton is SpongeBob and Reganold just seemed to fit. but they all have a background story to their names. And I followed the link and wow! There was a lot to read! what I did read was pretty cool and I think it's awsome she is sharing her life story. I didn't read everything because I didn't have time but I'll read it little by little thank you. And the book does sound interesting I'll check it out. I know who she is I just have never read anything by her it never intrested me but I haven't heard of that book it is a subject I enjoy so I'll take a look.
