A good humidity trick :)
To help your humidity levels, just must the whole tank with some declorhinated water (I use a hair spritz bottle, but any spray bottle will work) and then close the lid (you have to have a lid for this to work and a mesh lid doesn't work well). For me, it raises my humidity by 5%. And for me, 5% is better than nothing, even though it isn't a lot. Hope this helps, and let me know your results.

i do this from above , kind of the rain forest effect. the crabs love it. no crabs gets directly sprayed and it doesnt hurt them, my biggest pet peeve is people that spray their crabs full force right in the ole puss so to speak. It's like us getting sprayed in the face with a fire hose.. ouch. I use a dollar general spay bottle, cost me a buck and its blue . I don't use gauges any more, got tired of wasting my money on them. they would just break the cheap ones to the expensiv ones. I can tell from sticking my hand in the tank if the temp and humidity is off, been doing this since 2009 now you kind of get to know the tank conditions if you dont move it from it's spot and things are the same all the time

@laurie: true that. In time, even without modern tech to check things out you could easily discern whether the inside is humid or warm enough
