How do I make leaves safe for crabby food?

Post by pearl29mi » Sun Oct 11, 2015 4:51 pm

I was going to go and collect some leaves that are safe for crabs to eat outside, but how do I clean them? Or do I just put them right in the food bowl? And also, is there a way I can get rid of pesticides/chemicals if there is any?

I would only collect from an area you believe no pesticides have been used.I find deep wooded areas and national parks.Never go on private property unless you have permission. I also look for places near small bodies of water because some states have laws regarding the use of pesticides near waterways.I don't think you can fully remove pesticides, there will always be some traces of residue left behind.
There are some reptile supply sites that sell leaves online, just google them.
