Showing off revamp of my 75/80 gal tank!

Post by lauraroberson » Thu Oct 15, 2015 1:40 am

So my husband and I got a bunch of stuff for our hermies in; ultratherm uth, kitchen organizer, bath caddy, shells, ect..
So today we got down to business and redid our tank! I really do love how it turned out. Seems to be more space for them but also more stuff?
:?:
Let me know what y'all think! :D

Sorry ahead of time for the glare, I tried to not have one but with the lighting it just didn't work haha.

Full view of tank:

Pools & Moss Pit:

The ramps for the pools are business card holders I found at hobby lobby that I then zip tied canvas to. I love how they turned out!

Second level w/ she'll shop:

The second level is just a kitchen organizer that came in a set of 3. They are stackable so I was hoping to have a 3rd level but I obviously don't have the height space. I covered it with great stuff, and I do plan on covering it with eco earth but I want to be sure I don't have to make any changes to its shape before I do that. The shells are on the 2nd level and a lot of them are from a 30 pack of turbos I got from ebay for like 20 bucks?

Cave, Food dish, & climbing wall:

The cave (that you can't really see) is one I got from pet smart a while back and they absolutely love it! The climbing wall is the cork wood one you see a lot of people get and I really wanted to try it out for them. I think I'm going to get another one to fill a space behind the cave on the side glass.
If you can see, that's Sunny climbing into the cave, there were others out when I took the photos but you can't see them because of the glare and vines.

Also please ignore the gauge I had JUST placed it in before I started taking photos.

JUST snapped this one cause I saw them there. This is "Itty Bitty, Buddy, & Jade" (could possibly not be Jade cause her and another her size both switched into different shells and I haven't figured out who's who yet haha) if you can see it biggest one is in the back. He doesn't have a name yet, so if you have a suggestion let me know!

Hope y'all enjoyed the photos!!

Looks good! I like the cork on the right wall. How did you attach it to the tank?

Thanks!
And its a type of fabric tape. I found that stuff by accident and it works better than anything else I've ever tried to use to tape a climbing wall or something else to the glass.
Look for it in your fabric/sewing section. It's like a doubled sided tape to tape up a hem so you don't have to sew.

I could see a lot of uses for a tape like that, thanks!

The stuff really is great. It seems to be able to stick really well to any surface, and hold up in the humidity and heat. But when we were redoing the tank we had a different climbing wall taped up with the stuff and it was easy to remove. So best of both worlds I guess. Haha
