Toby is coming up from his molt! (I think )
Toby has been all the way on the bottom since mid September, presumably molting. This morning I saw him part of the way up the substrate. I am so excited to see him! I cant wait till he surfaces so i can see how handsome he looks.

Wow, cool picture!
You really can never know if he is finished molting, you should cover that area of the glass w/ opaque tape or paper to prevent bothering him during molting. They need dark to molt. My crab parted te substrate about a month ago, and I thought he was done molting (he was digging around). It has been a month since then w/ no sign of him. I recommend covering the glass, just in case, he might have a bit to go, whether recovery or finishing molting. Good luck!

One thing I did was cut a pc. of window tint to fit the tank and substrate level. It stays on and just peels right off.It comes in a roll.
