Seriously though - there is a market for captive bred animals even when wild caught are available, and if it's difficult to do then the prices can be much higher than what a wild caught specimen would be - with the idea that the captive bred specimens are more likely to survive and thrive. There are always going to be a subset of hobbyist who are more concerned about how they obtained their pet then the cost of getting it. It's a niche market, but it exists.
