I'm currently visiting with my sister and I went to the PSP right near her house (She is so lucky!!) and I looked in and I actually gasped and almost squealed...
THEY HAD ECUADORIANS!
Same price as the purple pinchers and luckily they had don away with the "fancy" vs "natural" price gap between the crabs. There were some really active PPs there, some in lovely tapestry turbos, worn magpies, but sadly still some painted shells. The E's are all in natural, and true to form, very tight fitting shells. They didn't realize they even had two species. I was so excited I almost passed out. They only had four little guys/gals so I scooped them all up!
Super active, sharp tips, no missing limbs or claws. They look great. Based on how active their crabs were they can't have been there terribly long because the conditions were still subpar.
That's my two year old niece posing with the very temporary tank. I have a heater and plastic over the top just trying to keep warm and humid until tomorrow when we go home to "Crabtopia"! I'm sure they will have a ball climbing around!
