I love the backwards crawl thing and was absolutely slack-jawed the first time I saw one of my guys do it!

Congrats on the fella, too. Sebastian is definitely a cutie-pie.

Thank you (: I was so confused when he started crawling backwards I was hoping it was at least slightly normal haha. This little guy is so active and my other large one Herman is loving having a friend, they both were running rampid last night and actually woke me up even over the sound of a fan! And oh what a mess they left for me

awww very cute little guy! Pretty green turbo he picked out too! My crabs wake me up every night, it wouldn't be a normal night if they didn't! The one large I have in my 55g walks around upside down all over the lid and he is VERY noisy about it. I always think he is escaping, but hasn't yet. Congrats on the new guy! :P

Starting to make the habitat a bit more habitable, still need some vines and things. Hoping to upgrade to a 29g before the Petco sales ends!
Accidently deleted most of the pics I took last night while he was out, little guy wasn't even afraid of the camera (:

New addition

It's a sad day. Sebastian has passed on to the big crabitat in the sky
Not sure exactly what happened, but it appears the cave had collapsed. I think Herman may have found him because there was scattered exo and the shell is chipped away quite a bit.
The new tank is all set up and something told me I should dig and check for Sebastian instead of leaving him in the old tank to finish the molt, though it's only been two months and one week since he went down but I just had a feeling. He was so active and eating well, and being so little I really thought he had a good chance at surviving... Still unsure how the cave would have collapsed, or if that was the cause of death or something else. He was still in the shell but didn't move- so I put him in a bowl of fresh water and pieces fell right out of the shell
Looks like it's just Herman in the new 20g for a few days until I get him a couple friends. RIP Sebastian
