Sadly, no I haven't gotten a new gauge. I haven't had a chance to go to the store. I have been extremely busy. But my tank always has a lot of condensation on the sides of the glass. I have a UTH on the right side of the tank and one on the right back side. Owe and my temp is between 75 & 80 degrees constantly. My sub is sand castle consistencyYYWW wrote:What is your temp/humidity? You got a new gauge, right? What kind did you get, again? Have you calibrated it?
Where is your UTH located?
Is your sub sandcastle consistency?

I think he is doing good it doesn't look like he's gotten it off any more than it was.
Re: Help request template for sharkbait
Thats not dark enough. Can you cover up the opening, like with a large clamshell? You can use anything solid and flat, like a lid or spare food dish. You can also put something big over him, like a wide cup, but make sure to leave space for air.

Great! Crabs need the darkness from being in a hole underground to make their molting hormones flow. The darker the better! How is he doing today??

This morning It looked like all of the Exo was eaten because there was nothing left in the shell (Exo left in she'll) and there was nothing one he sub. But I just checked again and the is a leg on the sub. I checked him and i am pretty sure he dropped his leg because he is missing a leg that's by his little pincher? Is this bad? What should I do

It's still hard to say. Surface molting with warning like he did is stressful for them, but just because a crab loses a limb or two it doesn't mean that death is on the way. They drop the limbs to reserve their resources to try and pull through. All you can do is make sure he stays warm and moist enough, and see what happens. When they get sick it's hard because it's completely up to them on if they pull through. We just give them the support so they can have a fighting chance. I'm not saying to be hopeful because this is very risky for him, but don't give up yet!

Don't move him unless you absolutely have to, as moving him will cause further stress. If where he's at is warm, he'll be okay.
