My pools are glass (Pyrex) or ceramic baking dishes. Right now I have rather shallow ones at 2-3" (cake), but I'm going to upgrade to bread pans which should be 4" or so.
I get them at 2nd hand stores.
How do you attach ramps and things to the glass ones? The crabs I take care of at my school use glass dishes and we just put rocks and coral in them so they can climb out. However it takes up lots of the room in the pools :/

I don't put a ramp, I just slightly submerge them into the sub and add a few rocks to the bottom.

Hermit crabs won't drown as long as they can hook a leg over the side of the bowl. They need to be able to fully submerge. You can use rocks, shells, plastic needlepoint canvas, or fake plants to provide them a way out.

You can wash them with hot water and dish soap, rinse really well and dry. You can also use water and vinegar if you are worried about the soap. If you don't have airstones I'd change the water every 3 days or so; more often if you have crabs who like to poop in the water like mine do.
If you do have airstones you can go longer between changes.

I also have a 20g long tank that i put a a small sized kritter keeper in. I have some sand and pebbles/marbles in the bottom. Along with shells that arent good homes or just too big for any crabs currently. I then use some aquarium egg crating as a ramp. Thats secured with suction cups that have hooks on them. On one side of the SW pool the sub is also high enough for them to almost walk in and out easily.

Here are pics of the pools I made. I used left over river rocks from Hobby Lobby and left over clam shells from a bag of random shells and aquarium safe silicone. Oh, and I used regular Tupperware I already had.

I love how the scallop and clam shells make like crab stairs.

Thank u! That was the purpose with the river rocks underneath to support the shells since most of our crabbies don't really like to submerge themselves most of the time:)

How do you clean them out, since they are glued on?

Aquarium safe silicone is fine to clean the same way you would any of your crab fixtures. Either hot water/apple cider vinegar/salt water bath. Buut im sure kieagcarm has a method to clean all the cracks and such.

I wash in hot water and I use a little bristle brush used for like bathroom cleaning and stuff. It has a small curved head with bristles so it scrubs in all the nooks and crannies

Ive found great brushes like that for cleaning bird and hamster cages. They were cheaper than ones for bathrooms too!
