I have a prickly pear cactus and let me just say I had one stuck in my thumb that got infected. They are small and soft and don't hurt to touch but can still get in your skin. Never thought to put one in my tank though

i just added an "umbrella plant" since they loved the air plant so much. im well aware they will do what they please with the plant. they usually eat them to be honest. which is fine since that is also mainly why i put them in. the plant only needs a little covering for its roots so it doesnt take up floor space, does well in warm/humid climates but doesnt like alot of water. not sure if it will live well of not so i put a small piece in. the air plants were fine till the crabs found them lol.
