I haven't been giving them fresh fruit these past few days because I gave them some cooked beef and fresh coconut. So I'm. Sure they are going to go nuts on the fresh fruit today.
Today was a dry mix of beans, cornmeal, dried carrots, worm castings.
Their fresh food was pumpkin pure, banana, and grape. Already see echo in the food bowl and at least 3 other crabs on their way!

That is the Colorado critter company announcing that they are closing. THCP purchased as much as they can but once they run out its alllll gone!! I just ordered some and thought all you menu planning crabbers might want to know!

I found out that hermit crabs realliy love pretzels mabye Its the texture,I put a pretzel in their tat and it dissapeared when I found It there there was a big chunk missing were flower had been clearly munching on it.

There was a bunch of moss on a log I was going to throw in the wood stove. I peeled the bark off and gave it to the crabs. It's probably a 4x4 inch square. There has been one or more crabs eating the moss since I've put it in. My guys are nuts about moss. It will be stripped bare in a couple of days.

Grapes for breakfast, and they'll be getting a rare treat of some fresh tomato when I get home! (got a salad today that had cherry tomato on it - BLEH! pick those off and save them for the crabs :roll: )

Yesterday they had crushed acorns, shredded chicken, an oak leaf, an egg shell, some clover and an apple.

today. I am thinking on chia seeds, bloodworms, and cheese or maybe some pears, and rose petals.

I saw that the Colorado food company was closing so I wanted to try their kibble and since I was ordering from THCP I also decided to try their popcorn mixes (I may have bought all of them) so the other night I put in a little dish with the kibble and the popcorn ,hibiscus pollen, beet mix. The next morning their was almost nothing left of the kibble and the popcorn mix was completely gone. So I highly recommend these treats! Tho I am sorry that I love the kibble so much but they are closing sad that I found it too late!

Today my hermits are getting

a clover, grass and acorn salad garnished with some bloodworms and eggshells. A few pieces of oak bark, a oak leaf, a few rose leaves, drizzled very light drizzle of pure vegetable oil and salt water and left to soak over night before being served today. It actually has a pretty good smell she. I checked the container this morning. I might add some basil I need to check the plant.
