We try to go organic as much as possible especially when it comes to fruits and veggies that we know are getting the pesticides brought into the meat of the fruit/veggie as the plant is growing which is why apples are among the top ranking for pesticide risks because the tree is constantly being sprayed throughout the apples development on the tree which ends up with the pesticides the tree has eaten being flushed into the fruit. Here is a list of fruits and veggies based on pesticide risk.

Thanks guys! This is really helpful. Do you chop up the food or just let them nibble?

I never chop up food anymore as most of my cast are in the extra large to jumbo size range now they can break up what I put in there for them pretty easily. If you have specimens smaller than golf ball then chopping or dicing up the food is preferable as this makes eating easier for them.
