So I tried searching to see ways to prepare collard greens and I am not finding much. I saw one idea was to boil it in salt water (instant ocean). So I think I am going to try that but I am wondering if they freeze good?
I cooked a pumpkin last night for them.. so can I just put little amounts in a ice cube tray to freeze then transfer to a bag. Is mixing the 2 a bad idea?
My crabs never really seem to eat much fresh food but they go crazy over powdered food from hermit crab patch.

I've never frozen greens but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Let us know how it holds up.

I would recommend coating with olive or coconut oil and put on very low heat and dehydrate. I have seen kale done the same way at the store in the organic section. Kale and Collards are in the same family....

Don't have a dehydrator but have been looking into buying one.
I just boiled it plain and froze it into little pancakes. They don't really seem to like it cooked/frozen.
They did seem to like it raw though. Made a huge mess of it and had it all over the place.

You can dehydrate in your oven at 160-200F for a long time. Just keep peeking at it to make sure you don't burn it. Works faster if spread over parchment paper or cooked on top of a rack.
