Crab on the hunt??
One of my crabs, Hermie, buried himself about a month ago and I haven't seen the little dude since. Recently, my other hermit crab, Karkat, dug down in the original spot Hermie dug. I don't know if Hermie is molting since I saw no warning signs and don't want to dig him up to see. I'm worried that, if he is, then Karkat might be after him! I've heard that crabs will eat a molting crab. What should I do?

As long as you have the proper amount of substrate and aren't overcrowded there's no need to panic. Most of the time crabs don't molt exactly where they dig down anyways. They like to dig and find the perfect spot so there's a good chance Karkat wont find Hermie there.

Alright! I'm just hoping he doesn't go burrowing around and find Hermie. I guess only time will tell
