Those who have live plants.....

Post by hermieluv1 » Wed Dec 24, 2014 10:36 am

What kind of water do you use to water them? The dechlorinated you use for fw and misting? Or regular tap? I have a bromeliad and a small orchids (don't know if it will make it but thought it was worth a try!)

Thanks!

I mist my tank daily, and make sure to really spray my plant. I think I've only dribbled water down at the base of the plant only a few times- like once a month. My plant has been doing super well without any real regular watering. Oh and it's always just my normal FW. I have well water and it's been tested so I know there is no other stuff in it bad for the crabs. So that's my normal water for everything.

I have a couple live plants, they are doing really well with dechlor fresh water. I mist the tank often, making sure to give them and the sub around them and extra good few sprays. I guess since Ryry's is doing well too using the same method, daily dechlor FW mistings are best for crabitat plants. :D good luck!
