Safe but I believe brown or wild rice would be healthier.

I just made some for myself so I thought I'd give them a little with their veggies.

I bet they'll enjoy it! Whenever I make sticky rice, I always share a little with the crabs. They really seem to like it.

Paul is over there eating some carrot. I don't know if he's discovered the rice yet!

I used to make "A Recipe" from hermit-crabs.com. In it you grind up any kind of non-instant uncooked rice along with the other ingredients - no cooking. So you could add rice in that way too, if you're making your crabs some dried ground blends.

I haven't offered mine uncooked whole rice but I have given them uncooked quinoa. They do eat it. Cooked too. :)

I made coconut rice, froze it into cubes and every so often give them one. I also made cubes of baby food that are different flavors on each end. I haven't tried either in months. Rice tonight.
#1 rule of crabbing - crabs are weird.
#2 rule of crabbing - see above

Coconut rice....that sounds yummy! I also freeze some foods and purees in ice cube trays. Makes single servings so much easier. :D
