Water questions

Post by FreeBeer53 » Thu Apr 09, 2015 12:29 pm

I have a 75 gallon tat that I am wanting to put a couple 2.5 gallon tanks in as pools. The local tropical pets store offers salt water for $1 gallon and says that a bubbler is enough aggitation to suffice for crabs. Can this water be trusted and are bubblers enough. Or should I put in a waterfall with filter?

Well it depends on whether you feel like doing water changes. :)
A cycled filter will allow you to get away with doing weekly partial water changes (like 25%) however with a bubbler your looking into replacing the water every 2 - 3 days.
So IMO, to save your purse and some heavy lifting, I'll go with the filter. ;)
