Domes VS Hoods

Post by rkadisak » Wed May 13, 2015 8:36 pm

Hello all, i am kinda new to crabbing. I have 8 pps in a 40 gallon, I'll be getting a 75 that i am setting up for some jumbos. I don't know if i want to get two new domes, or if i want to get a hood or two. My question is , In your personal opinions what should i invest my money in and what are your experiences and preferences, thank you. :) :) :)

Hello!

I would completely recommend using a dome. First off your going to be able to purchase bulbs for a dome easily and I believe more economically. Second off, in a dome you can add a heat and a UVA/UVB bulb. I use domes since they're also more compact. Again, those are my thoughts.

Are you planning on heat bulbs, or a UTH?
