New Crabitat set up

Post by samylaine » Sat Jul 18, 2015 1:09 pm

Alright.. about 9 years ago, my husband and two year old came home with two hermit crabs from the mall.
We still have one of them, lol. he's had friends over the years.. but I think he's a serial killer.
he is in a 10 gallon tank... coconut fiber and sand mix.. he likes to dig down and stay down for weeks at a time. I've never had a humidifier or mister or any kind of gauge.. I just take him and his things out of the tank about once a month and i pour filtered water in and mix the sand and substrate until its at a good consistency.
We bought a new house though and have room for a bigger tank. So we will be moving him to a 40 gallon breeder tank. And I'm thinking it will be easier to get a fogger/humidifier for it? Any recommendations or pictures to show me your set ups would be very helpful!
