the difference between digital and dial guages (pic)

Post by Ren1216 » Mon Dec 19, 2005 3:26 am

I was snapping some photos this morning of my crabbies, they are so cute I cant help it! Anyways, I had moved my little hermies out of ISO and back into the main tank so I took their digital guage set and put it in the main tank next to the dial ones that I still have in there... curious to see the difference. Look for yourself. The "frog" guage is the hygrometer (humidity) and the "sun dial" guage is the temp (hard to see but its reading 71 degrees). http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ren1216/d ... ph**Please note that just because my set are 10% and 10 degrees off in one direction does not mean this is the case for ALL dial guages. Each one should be checked/calibrated individually.

I'd say they're a bit off! How long had they been in there?

Only about a half hour at the time of the photo, but for about 4 hours now... both sets still reading just about the same, actually the humidity on the digital guage is now reading 84%.
