selflees hermit
My largest jumbo has just changed into a too small shell half of his legs can fit into the shell . I have another jumbo in a very heavy shell that he can't lift . can a hermit crab know about another hermits situation and try to help him out in this situation by offering a more lighter shell if he can find a new shell . his older shell has a tiny hole in it so is this y he would offer his old shell to another crab if he can find a new one.
Re: selflees hermit
I'd say the crab swapped shells because he liked something about the new shell more than the old one. Sometimes their selection is surprising to us. Just provide them with a good variety of shells, and they'll do the rest. This thread may be helpful to you.
