Can they eat ladybugs?

Insects
Re: Insects
Honestly, i'm not sure if they can eat ladybugs. You can check the safe food list to see what they can eat and the unsafe food list to see what they can't, but i'm not sure ladybugs would be on there. I know that if you have isopods in the tank with them they will occasionally catch and eat those, but they are very different from a ladybug. I would wait until someone who can answer this better replies. Sorry if this wasn't much help to you.
Re: Insects
Lady bugs are not toxic to humans, but they do carry toxins in their system to protect them from predatory birds.
That would be reason enough for me to steer clear of them as hermit crab food.

I agree with mool. But meal worms, crickets, and bloodworms are great buggy options. I also think of shrimp as a sea bug. I've also had mine eat on grass hoppers.
