I want to try to create my own little level using a plastic container and Popsicle sticks does anyone know of a package of them that are safe wood to use with hermits?

Yep, those are fine. Basically any natural popsicle sticks sold in craft stores or in the kids' crafts section of chain stores will be OK. Popsicle sticks are made of soft wood and probably won't hold up all that long in a warm and humid crabitat (not to mention that the crabs will happily pinch at them, too) but give it a try and let us know how your project turns out.

thanks i just wanna cover the top of this container with a whole to make it look more decorative
and also use 2 of them to stick gauges on to put in the front of my tank (rather than two plastic spoons)
i got 2 packs so it should last will see what happens.
