I added tropical substrate on top in a small section and sprinkled a few chia seeds. How long should they take to grow?

I saw mine start to sprout between 1 and 2 days.

Crabs also love to eat the seeds and may gobble up all you sprinkle in. If you don't see any sprouts in a few days, try sprinkling more in and the putting a thin layer of substrate over them to hide them from crabs with the munchies.
