New 90 gallon with vines and netting
Hey guys, I thought I post some pics of my 90 gallon with some renovations I did recently. I added the netting over the weekend. You can get a large recycled genuine fish net at Michael's crafts store, which is where I got mine. This tank also as three large vines and two moss pits in it. One moss pit is in the back of the tank so it's probably hard to see. Sorry about the glare in some pics. I have reptile tanks in the background. My crabs are loving this set up so far. They are much more active then they were in the smaller 40 gallon I had. I had crabs climbing up the netting the first night it was up.
If you look closely you can see a crab in the small clay pot. ^
Oh, and in case you guys are worried, my tank is on the low 80's on the warm side and 75 on the cool side. I also use a heat lamp with a dimmer switch attached because UTH's have never worked for me. I'm in Arizona now so my house stays 76 in the winter and 80 in the summer so I don't have to work to hard to get the right temps in my tanks.

Amazing. Nice work. Love the natural looking stuff. I need more of that in mine. What kind of substrate is that? Looks dark.

Re: New 90 gallon with vines and netting
Thanks for the compliments guys! The substrate I use is pure Eco Earth, and I have about 11 inches in there right now. I want to add more but then everything in my tank would become more crammed at the top. I love using pure EE because the tunnels hold better, the humidity holds better, and pure EE also breaks down waste so you don't have to spot clean constantly. I tried a sand/EE mix before but didn't like the problems I had with it. There's a member on here named SugarSelections, I'm not sure if she comes here anymore but she use to have a 90 gallon with built in pools and she used pure EE as well.

Yes, she still replies to her link on her crabitat post. I think she upgraded it to a 110 a few years ago.

Yep, the extra large exo terra. One of the best tanks on the webs - and youtube!GotButterflies wrote:Yes, she still replies to her link on her crabitat post. I think she upgraded it to a 110 a few years ago.

Thank you!!LadyJinglyJones wrote:Looks gorgeous!
One of my favorite things about this 90 gallon is that my crabs are out constantly now. When they were stuck in the smaller tanks they were hiding more often.
