I have a crab at the bottom of our new large cork round. I initially put a cork wall piece on the inside of it and somehow it ended up sitting on top of the crab. So I took it out and put in a leafy vine and attached it to the side of the tank for stability. Are the crabs able to climb out of the cork round on their own or do they typically need another climbing structure in there to help them? Another HCA member had mentioned to me on another previous post about making a little door at the base so I'm thinking maybe that would be another option. Opinions and advice much appreciated!!

Hi Kermie, my 3 guys traverse the cork on all sides. They will have no problem getting up/down. Its soft enough for thrm to dig their nails into it. John sleeps upside down inside one half. Never had a problem w a stuck crab. Thats been my exp with them.

Thanks Kermie.
I wouldn't have piped up if i didnt have exp. w this product. As long as your crab has room to climb up and his shell can pass, hes fine.
I know how much we all worry after these guys. John is upside right now. He's weird.

The crabs are fine in climbing up the "smooth" interior. It should be fine!
