Crab is unusually active!?

Post by Shelbertjames » Fri Sep 22, 2017 2:22 pm

My hermit crab, after molting (I think, haven't checked for exoskeleton yet, but he was underground for a week or two), has been super active at both night and day. I'm gone 8 hrs at school and sleep 8 hrs at night, but pretty much every time I come in my room I see him awake! He's usually climbing on his coconut hut or bathing in water. Should I be concerned or is this a sign of good health?

Thanks!!

Crabs will go through periods of activity & relative lethargy as a normal feature of where they are in their moult cycle. Also personalities differ this way, too.

Try not to worry. :)
