Pregnant Hermit Crab!!

Post by alicrabs2003 » Sun Mar 25, 2018 8:13 pm

I was checking my hermit crabs ( because I found an ant in my tank )... and when I got tp Ariel I saw a pack of white gooey bubbles in her shell. I did some more research and I think she's pregnant... I would get a picture but my camera on my phone is broken. I will feel really bad if the babies die. Someone help plz!!!

From what I have read on this forum, it is extremely (like, almost impossible for most of us) to raise baby crabs in captivity. Please do not feel bad when they don't survive.

Well...congratulations..because you just got them...but...speaking from experience, it is like curlysister said, very hard. I made it to 15 days with my zoea, and it was A LOT of work. PP zoea live in msw for 30 days before making it to land.
Truly blessed to have incredible creatures, wonderful friends and my amazing family in my life!! I'm very thankful & grateful for all of them! www.thehealthyhermit.com
