Food Question

Post by Crabby Mom » Sun May 27, 2018 8:36 am

Tried looking on the food lists...anyone give their crabs jerky? Any kind, beef, venison, turkey, etc.? Is it safe?

You’d have to check the ingredients. Try to stay away from any meats with seasonings or salt (most foods use table salt).

I know that some pet jerkies like Pure Bites are good. They have no seasonings and can be found in pet stores.

Unless there are no seasonings, salt, or preservatives, I would stay away from Jerky.

You may not find that it has other ingredients on the packaging.
Often times, foods like this can be smoked or dried with preservatives that they don't list.

The pet ones are usually okay as long as you check the ingredients, whatever is used must be included on the label. A lot of them are just dried meat.

Ones for humans are loaded in salt, those I would personally avoid!

Oooo, I didn't know there was 'pet jerky' that was different than 'human jerky'! I bet my little dog would love that! I am going to have to look for some next time I am in a city with a pet store!
