What humidity and temperature gauges would you recommend? It needs to be accurate.
And how should I regulate humidity? Spraying it several times a day does not seem to be working. I'm interested in getting some sort of automatic humidifier but want to know what brand works best.

I'd prefer if everything can be found on Amazon.

I recommend AcuRite, you can buy them at Walmart for about $8
Having a tight-fitting lid helps, but if you don't have that, plastic wrap or press n seal works in a pinch.
I believe you can get gauges from Amazon.

Is your substrate sandcastle consistancy? Moss pits help with humidity. And bubblers in the pools.

Yes, my substrate is.
I can't get a mosspit right now, but once I'm able to I'll be getting one.

Once you have a hygrometer and know what the humidity is, you will then know what else you need to do. I don't have a moss pit or bubblers, and I rarely mist my tank. And my humidity is consistently around 90% or more.

I have a hygrometer, I'm just not sure of the accuracy c: I'm also hoping to get one a little easier to read.

I don’t have bubblers or a moss pit yet either but haven’t had any issues with humidity so far. I DO have some random moss in there and a thin layer of EE strewn around on the top in some areas.

I use a mix of 5:1 playsand to EE. I occasionally add a little water along the sides to keep it moist, and occasionally 'fluff' it up by stirring it right down to the bottom when Sonny and Cher are both top side. It's a 55 gallon, with a plexiglass lid that had a small vent cut in one corner. Daylight from the window, no extra lights. Three UTH, one on back and one on each side, that I use one/ two/ three depending on the temp (old house, no air conditioning). I live in Canada, where it can be -40C and dry in the winter and +40C and humid in the summer (although I know not humid compared to where many people live).

I really don't know how/ why my tank is good for humidity all the time! It's been like that ever since I set up the 55 gallon. I had a 10 and then a 20 gallon prior, and did have to mist occasionally, but not crazy amounts.

We have similar weather conditions here....my humidity is always good even on the higher end...temps is what I first struggled with but now all is good. I think I will struggle with temps when winter hits...hopefully not but I have a feeling I will.
