Dumb Question - Getting Soap out of Airstones

Post by MotleyMusicana » Thu Sep 22, 2022 10:16 pm

So my partner was cleaning the tubing on one of our air pumps and they scrubbed the air stones with soap and now they're bubbling out soap..

so uh. anyone know a way to get soap out of a couple of air stones? They seem pretty soapy. Still bubbling stuff out when we turn them on. ideas? or should I chuck em?

You may have to let them bubble for a day or two to rinse out the residue. If that doesn’t work (or you’d rather not do that) then replace them.

I had the idea to try leaving them submerged for a while (I poked them every once in a while to help release bubbles). that helped a lot. then I let them run (for about 10 hours so far) and that seems to have worked! thanks
