Molted

Post by Kinah19 » Tue Nov 15, 2022 1:53 pm

I had my first successful molt this past week. It me me a minute before I realized that he came up from the sand . His exoskeleton is under the sand but I guess the sand filled his hole because of him and my other crab crawling around and I don’t know where to look for his exoskeleton. Is that okay?

They eat their exoskeleton before coming back up on their own. So long as he wasn't disturbed and came up early, you don't need to do anything! You may find a piece of leg or claw later on that works its way to the surface, but they usually do a good job of eating nearly everything.
