My sub keeps drying out everytime i wet it, its all dry the next day! i have 2 Aussies in a 31 gallon tank and the humily is 80% most of the time.
my sub is mostly play sand mixed with this stuff called Tropical Coco Soil its 100% natural and toxin free.
how can i keep my sub wet?

Is it just the surface that is drying out? How deep is it? If you put something like a chopstick down the side along the glass to the bottom, does the hole cave in on itself when you remove it?

Hey, so as your in Australia, coming from a US inividual, brands may be different but I've found that Eco Earth coconut fiber substrate (1 part) to play sand (5 parts) makes a really good way to keep the substrate moist. I also reccoment having wet/damp moss thats filtered with Prime treated water on top of the substrate where a hermie is most lilkely to dig so it can automatically stay moist, as to not cave in on itself. You can also hydrate the sand greatly and mix it in a loose pattern, which I've found helps it contain moisture easier.
